Games (Series) of the Summer
This summer was good for me on the old school level. Though I only bought one new game during my summer (NSMB) I bought several NES/SNES games along with the two systems. So yeah, because I need an excuse to post something I'm going to do a Top 10 games or series of the Summer. Which will include games of any age.
1. Legend of Zelda Series - I have a complete collection of at least one version of every Zelda game available on a Nintendo system. So no CD-i ones. Ich. I also beat 3 of them, Legend of Zelda in July for my very appreciative cousin, Ocarina of Time for the millionth time, and A Link to the Past when I got my SNES. I got a new version of Oracle of Season because my old one broke and am working on Majora's Mask.
2. Super Mario Bros. Series - The New Super Mario Bros. was my favorite new games for the first half of the year and I got Super Mario World along with my SNES and later bought Super Mario All-Stars. I also got another copy of Super Mario Land 2 and the GBA version of Yoshi's Island.
3. Super Metroid - First time owning a copy of the game and I beat it twice. And it gives me a complete Metroid series collection at that.
4. Brain Age - Mostly just for Sudoku.
5. Pikmin Series - Beat the first and am almost done with the 2nd, again.
6. ICO - beat the game for I believe the 6th time.
7. Metal Gear Solid 2 - Beat it for the 2nd time.
8. Sonic Mega Collection + - Took the time to open up the several secret games. Man that took forever.
9. Madden NFL 2006 - Played through another season.
10. My other NES/SNES - Lots of good games gotten for them. Beat Kirby's Adventure the other day, enjoyed Ninja Gaiden, I've played a lot of NBA Live '95 of all games.
