I've always liked this one. Mostly because it shows a side of Calvin's dad that you almost never saw during the comic's run. He isn't being irritated by, angry with, or sarcastic about Calvin. He looks like he is honestly interested in what Calvin has to say and has some actual affection for his son. Which goes against maybe my only real complaint with the series is that Calvin's parents rarely got to show that side of themselves. His mom did on more occassions but almost never did his dad. I understand that their stated purpose was mostly their various reactions to Calvin's mischief but sometimes you almost get the feeling that neither of them, and particularily Calvin's dad, really love him and just tolerate him because they can't just get rid of him.

It's not as if I ever wanted the comic to go into the touchy feely stuff some do but it is nice see Calvin's dad in a more positive, fatherly role.
