3rd Party Characters in SSBB
Now that Snake has been revealed as the first non-1st/2nd party character to appear in a Smash Bros. game, the door is open for other 3rd party characters. I had refused to consider this possiblity since I thought it would be fruitless but now that the gate is opened I'll have fun with it.
1. Mega Man - I really can't think of any better characters. Nearly every Mega Man is available on a Nintendo console and in many ways he is associated with Nintendo almost as much as Capcom. Other possibilities from the franchise: X, Zero, Bass, Protoman, maybe a robot master? Other Capcom characters: Leon, Arthur, Bionic Commando (whatever his name is), Ryu :), Viewtiful Joe
2. Sonic - With Sega jumping on the Virtual Console I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the game now. It makes a certain amount of sense. Other possibilities: Knuckles, Shadow, Tails. Other Sega: Shinobi guy, Vectorman.
3. Hudson characters - I could see Bonk or Bomberman making it in. Or even Master Higgens. With the TG-16 on board anything is possible. Though outside of those two I don't know any other Hudson characters off the top of my head.
4. Some Square characters - Nintendo and Square seem to be rebuilding their relationship again and one or two might make it. Frankly I could go for kicking Cloud's crappy ass all over the Smash Bros. arena with Link.
Well that's all I can think of. Now for some 1st/2nd party characters I'd like to see:
1. Diddy Kong/Dixie Kong - Think Ice Climbers meet Zelda/Shiek.
2. Poo - Ninjas rule.
3. An actual Gandondorf - Not just a clone of C. Falcon.
