A Year Ago Today...
..the fire that took my childhood home started. Its really hard to believe that it has been a whole year since that fire. We lost a lot of stuff, most notably our dog and a few of our cats.
When I learned about the fire and that my mom had made it out alright, it was easier to take but the wait to get back home and see her and my dad was probably the longest in my life.
But we were lucky. We had a good town, filled with people willing to help us get back up on our feet and to them I am immensely thankfull.
