Zelda Turns 20
I didn't notice but the Legend of Zelda series turned 20 on the 21st. Hard to believe that it is that old.
I remember when I first played Legend of Zelda. I had no clue what I was doing, hell I might not have been sure what kind of game I was playing, my memory is a little hazy but I might have thought it was somehow a two player game but I was too young to realize it wasn't. But Zelda has been there through the various stages of my gaming life. ALttP was part of period that made me a gaming enthusiast, and Ocarina of Time (along with Mario 64) was one of the first games I followed from first shots released to the final release date. The Legend of Zelda is easily my favorite franchise and I hope it will continue as long as Nintendo feels they can still make them of the highest quality.
1up.com has a great article about the Zelda titled: 20 Years, 20 Reasons Why Link Still Rocks. Some good stuff therein. Also this article has links to various other things for Zelda's 20th.
