Mega Man X Collection
Just bought the collection yesterday and I must say, just like the Mega Man Anniversary Collection it is awesome. I really miss 2D platformers so this hits the mark in terms of gameplay and difficulty. Already beat MMX and X2.
MMX
I only played this game in small amounts and never got far until I got this collection. Quite excellent. Maybe not as hard as I remember?
MMX2
Still just as big a blast to play as it was back when I was 12. Not as hard as I remember but it has it moments still. I just love the wireframe stuff they did. Brings backs memories.
MMX3
While still pretty much the same still good. Not very far yet. Though I can't help but wish they would have had the SNES version instead of the PSX version. The cheesy cutscenes before going into each stage are just bad.
PSX MMX
Just played a little bit of each to get a feel. Look about what I'd expect. Taller characters and better graphics. Which as far as standing the test of time, the sprite based graphics do a far better job of it than the polygon games. Though that is typically the way isn't it? I can't wait till I beat X3 and get to give those three a real bit of effort.
So overall I don't think you can beat 7 games for $30 can you? All of a good quality which despite their repetition are still a good formula.
If you love Mega Man I'd definately recommend this.
