Why is it that people are just incapable of putting away the urge to try to make political hay and actually concentrate on what is important, the people? I've seen plenty of claims from both sides of the political spectrum that are more interested in putting the blame on someone or something instead of donating money or time to help these people. Why is everything such a big pissing contest to make as much political gain as possible instead of coming togethor to help our own fellow countrymen in a time of crisis?

There is something horribly wrong with this country when our politics are more important than people. If you can't remove your insane political opinions even temporarily for the common good you deserve a kick in the ass and probably several of them.
