How could anyone seriously think that this is a good idea? Yes at one time in North America's ecological history decendants of these animals did live here but that was millions of years ago in many of their cases.
We should be working to revamp populations of indigenous animals that were here before we really started messing things up not introduce animals that have adapted to an entirely differant ecosystem and especially not free to roam.
