Top 5 Most Hated Games of All Time

If someone happens upon this blog and sees my list and says: "How you can say these are the worst games ever? There have to be far worse!" Which is possibly true but as it is this is a most hated list though it could be seen as a worst list. You won't see Superman 64 or E.T. on this list as I don't have the money to buy bad games, hell I have hardly the money to buy all the good games I want. So if you don't like my list, screw you.

So without further adieu:

Chris' Most Hated (or Worst) Games of All Time

5. Star Fox Adventures (GCN) - The first and only game released on the GameCube by Rare before they went to Microsoft. As a fan of the Star Fox universe and of Rare, I thought this should be quite good as a different take on Star Fox as a Zelda-like adventure game. Sadly this game proved to be nothing but a boring, linear, adventure with annoying characters, an asinine plot, way too linear gameplay, bad gameplay, etc. The graphics were nice though. This game was a disappointment on so many levels it is the only game I've sold recently (I also sold Madden 2002 but that was more out of upgrading to a new year than hatred). This game proved to symbolic of Rare's downward spiral since their N64 heyday. They've released 2 games since then for the XBox one a mediocre kids game another a graphical update of Conker's Bad Fur Day (which was an excellent N64 game but a poor XBox game) but more censored. I hope Rare improves but with those 3 games its hard to say if they will ever.

4. Grand Theft Auto III (PC) - I hate Vice City and San Andreas to but this one was the one I got hyped up for and it proved to be a boring, ugly, poor controlling mess of a game where violence was the reason it sold and if anyone says different they are lying. I have no problem with the violence in the game but with every part of it being so decidedly mediocre I just can't let this game pass without criticism.

3. Batman Forever (SNES) - Ah the days when I bought into graphics. I remember thinking this game looked really amazing and liking the movie rented the game on graphics alone. From then on out I stopped being fooled by pretty graphics. This game was controlling mess. Almost unplayable and just bad. Just another bad game based on a movie. I don't remember much about it since but that has always stuck with me.

2. Final Fantasy VII (PSX) - I can see the Final Fantasy 7 fanboys now. I've dealt with them more than I can count. Once again another game I was hyped up for. Got my PSX just for it. Started out okay I suppose but by time I hit the 3rd disc I wasn't having fun, I was just trying to beat the game so I could say my time wasn't wasted. Ugly inconsistent in-game graphics (they had 3 styles and advertised with the FMV movies which were nice I suppose but not actual gameplay), boring gameplay, idiotic characters, dumb plot, bad music, etc. Cloud may he burn in hell of bad videogame heroes. Then you can be all angsty and stuff until the end of time.

1. Final Fantasy VIII (PSX) - Now the fanboys would be foaming at the mouth. This game was worse than 7 in every way except graphics. It epitomizes everything that is wrong with RPGs now and I wish I hadn't bought into the hype again. Thanks to this craptacular RPG I was turned off of RPGs for several years. Thanks Square you pitiful game maker. You suck.

I'm sure you've noticed a trend. All those games I was anticipating to some degree whether it was graphics or just general hype and none of them got even close to living up to it. This is how a worst game list should look for people who don't have the resources to play every game. Not some regurgitated list saying that X game is the worst because all the reviews say so. Yes I may say Superman 64 is one of the worst games of all time, though I don't have any real experience with it, because everyone pretty much says so. And that is far as I can go because I will never take the time to play it. I'm not stupid. I'll stick to my list of games that were such horribly disappointments to me that they piss me off more than I can ever say.
